Entrepreneur
I founded a Design company called Developing Young Minds (DYM) to deliver human-centered experiences. DYM has fed my entrepreneurial appetite by offering opportunities to create purposeful and impactful solutions.
ā
Adaptable
I have designed curriculum and taught a diverse set of learners across three continents. My experiences have provided me with a unique perspective that inspired me to develop unconventional approaches to teaching, which ultimately lead me to design
Innovative
I am an innovator who also happens to be an award winning educator and one of 22 Black (Non-Hispanic) Spanish bilingual certified educators in California. As a kid, I launched a non-profit with my family that donated over half a million socks to people all over the world.
Resourceful
I know that anyone can reinvent themself to accomplish their goals. I taught myself Spanish in 3 years. Now, I am teaching myself to code through a variety of resources and am passionate about making computer programming more accessible.
Data-driven
At its core, my approach to design is human centered and data driven, and I use standardized metrics to measure success.
ā
Freetime
When Iām not teaching, I'm consulting, mentoring, creating, and designing projects for clients. I am also learning more about early childhood development as my wife and I have a one year old girl that is the light of our lives.
